Dr. Vayalapalli Manmadharao has officially assumed charge as the new Director of VIMS, Visakhapatnam. Having completed his MBBS and MS from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam  he trained in laparoscopy at GEMS institute Coimbatore and also he has got FMAS degree in Laparoscopy and also FIAGES.  He brings nearly 31 years of experience in medical education, healthcare services and administration. He served as Civil Assistant Surgeon in Srikakulam District and later on as Assistant Professor,  Associate professor of general surgery Head of the Department of Surgery, and later as Vice Principal of Andhra Medical College and King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam. Dr. Manmadharao stated that his primary goal is to enhance healthcare services and strengthen the development of VIMS, Visakhapatnam. He is also having responsibility as Chief Transplant Co-ordinator (CTC), JEEVANDAN AP State. He emphasized expanding modern medical facilities and providing quality healthcare services to the public. He wants to develop VIMS as stand alone PG Medical College and he wants to create awareness in the public regarding organ donation by conducting awareness programs throughout the state in the coming months. He also expressed his gratitude to the Government and Honrable Health Minister Shri Satya Kumar Yadav Garu for entrusting him with this responsibility.
