This institution was established on 11-04-2016 Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences is a territory care hospital with 650 beds catering the needs of the North Andhra districts of Andhra Pradesh (East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam) and also the neighbouring states like Odisha and Chattisgarh. This institute is well known for the rich apex tertiary referral care centre with rich clinical material. Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences has acquired the state of the art equipment. It was established by the former Chief Minister of the combined state of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy with the Main objective in providing super speciality facilities with nominal cost to the poor. Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences has shown exemplary performance in the implementation of Dr. Y.S.R Arogyasri services to the downtrodden sections of people in the state.
